Oil Visits Almazara

What does it consist of?

It is an authentic experience. Knowing that ancient tree OLIVO, understanding the landscape, discover its fruit, walking and getting lost among them in order to know a way of life.

Activity Program

  • Reception and welcome upon arrival at the door of the olive mill.
  • Departure to the olive grove, located at 2 km from the olive mill.
  • We interpret the landscape from a viewpoint with spectacular views discover this unique landscape, then we'll go to the olive grove where we will discover the tree, the fruit, and learn about the cultivation, know young trees and ancient trees ... a discovery.
  • Back to the olive mill.
  • Start tour at the olive mill. At the outer zone, introduction to the olive oil world, we introduce the stage we are going to talk about, Jaen, its landscape, its olive grove, varieties, etc…
  • WE´ll learn the different types of olive oil that are produced in an aolive mill ... the reasons for each one.
  • We move indoors to visit the old olive mill, where the olive oil was produced more than 20 years ago; old hidraulic presses systems, filters..etc
  • Screening of a small documental about the old elaboration method.
  • We´ll talk about the conservation at the old cellar dated on 1926
  • Then we enter into the modern factory, where technology and modern systems are what we need to know ... centrifugation, mixing, products ... to understand in detail the technological change experienced by the sector.
  • We´ll end the visit with a good taste ...
  • Tasting and tasting of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil Olive Essential, Three types of extra virgin olive oils, three flavors, three smells...
  • We´ll learn to taste an extra virgin olive oil, to identify its nuances..

The whole visit its in an easy and simple way along three adjoining rooms fully accessible.

Visits are attended by the olive mill owners, tourism technicians and experts in olive oil production.

Oleo Renaissance

What does it consist of?

To enjoy at 100% your weekend in Jaen, we offer you this perfect plan that will discover you the wonders of the Andalusian Renaissance hidden in Ubeda and Baeza, recognized as World Heritage Cities by UNESCO and you´ll larn form the horse mouth the elaboration of our precious provinces liquid gold, a real Travel to the Olive Oil World.

It consists of three elements

This activity is composed by three tours to distributed as you wish.; namely: A morning tour at 11:00, another in the afternoon at 17:00 and another one the next day in the morning or afternoon, at the same time. (Except Sunday afternoon)

Guided Olive Mill Tour + Tasting - Tasting

Attended by tourism professional and olive oil production masters convinced on giving the best service to our visitors Oleícola San Francisco opens its doors to anyone whom wants to enter on the fascinating Olive Oil World.

The tour includes: Introduction to the Olive Oil WOrld, Who does an Olive Mill works, complete explanation about the elaboration process, visit inside the old mill and old cellar, Current processing room ending with a tasting - Tasting explained our Extra Virgin Olive Oils of the line "Esencial Olive”.

Baeza guided tour

From Baeza, declared World Heritage City in 2003, placed on the heart of Jaen´s province and entrance door to Andalusia, we´ll aprecciate one of the most singular landscapes of Andalusia : its singular olive groves ocean. Its location also allows us to intuit its beuty even from away, through its monumental shape, perfectly crowned by its Cathedral´s tower.

Discevring the city corners lets our imagination fly to one of the most important reninassance enclave os Spain, enriched by the footprint of the city´s history. Baeza, a city that never leaves anyone indifferent .

Guided tour at Ubeda

Ubeda, its a Reinassance with its own identity signs. This city collects a real recopilation of the ideas, solutions and methods of the reinassance urbanism , set by the italian authors from the XV century, but adapting them to a cultural socialpolitic reality very different to the italian one.

Ubeda is a “Reinassance capital”. The urbanism lecture the city offers trascend the regional or national landmark, being valued between the most innovative spanis reinassance that, after being reelaborated, will get a new proyection in Iberoamerica.
